Terms

Effective date: October 19, 2026

These terms cover use of Manna, a household budgeting service from The Forge, a brand operated by Michael McClanahan in Wilson, North Carolina, USA. By creating an account you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy.

Eligibility

You must be 18 or older to create an account or use Manna. The signup form asks you to confirm that before the account is created.

Accounts and spouse access

You create an account with your name, email, and a password. One household is shared. The person who sets up the household can invite a spouse by email. The spouse opens that link, chooses their own password, and joins the same household. Both of you can see and change the household's budget, debts, income, bills, and covenant data. Each of you confirms the clarity step for yourself. One spouse cannot confirm it for the other. You are responsible for your password and for activity under your login.

Acceptable use

Use Manna for your own household's budgeting. Do not try to open another household's account, probe or disrupt the service, or use it to break the law. Do not send Frosty information you do not have the right to share. Frosty's replies are generated to help you look at your own numbers. They are not instructions you must follow.

Subscription and trial

If paid plans are enabled, each household receives a 30-day free trial that starts when the household is created. The price is $8 per month or $72 per year for the household. You can cancel anytime through the Stripe customer portal. If the trial ends and the household has not subscribed, the household data stays in the account and becomes read-only until you subscribe. If paid plans are not enabled, those billing limits are not turned on.

Disclaimer

Manna is a budgeting and planning tool, not financial, tax, legal, or pastoral advice. Users remain responsible for their own financial decisions.

Limitation of liability

Manna is provided as a planning tool. To the extent the law allows, The Forge and Michael McClanahan are not liable for decisions you make with it, for money lost or spent, for Frosty replies that are incomplete or wrong, or for interruptions of the service. Some places do not allow certain limits on liability. In those places, the limit is the smallest the law allows.

Termination

You may stop using Manna at any time and ask us to delete your account, as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or stop offering Manna. The disclaimer, the limitation of liability, and the governing law still apply after an account ends.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, USA.

Changes

If these terms change, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continuing to use Manna after that date means you accept the updated terms.
